The following isspecifications and dimensional information on the housing for theTrailfinder Digital Optical Position Scanner.

TheTRAILFINDERDigital Optical Position Scanner's electronic circuitry is packaged in robust cast aluminumhousing. The housing includes a large air cooled chamber which isseparated from the electronic circuitry compartment. An air inletis located in the rear of the cast aluminum housing. Pressurizedair passes though this chamber, cooling the cast aluminum housingthus cooling the electronic circuitry. The air vents in thefront of the housing via a slot in front of the lens providing airpurging. Further cooling of the air can be accomplished with theuse of an in-line vortex tube air cooler.

Also available, an optional sealed water coolant radiator &separate air purging facility can be provided. The copper watercoolant radiator is mounted internal to the air cooled chamber.Coolant inlet and outlet fittings are provided in the rear of thecast aluminum housing. An air inlet is fitted in the front nozzleof the housing and air is vented out the front of the nozzle infront of the lens.
