Thefollowing is specifications and dimensional informationonthehousing for the Self Contained “All-in-One” DigitalHotMetalDetector.
TheModel Hot Metal Detector's electronic circuitryispackagedin robust cast aluminum housing. The housing includesalarge aircooled chamber which is separated from theelectroniccircuitrycompartment. An air purge inlet is located inthe rear ofthe castaluminum housing. Pressurized air passes thoughthischamber,cooling the cast aluminum housing thus coolingtheelectroniccircuitry. The air vents in the front of thehousingvia aslot in front of the lens providing air purging.Furthercooling ofthe air can be accomplished with the use of anin-linevortex tubeair cooler.
Also,asan option, a sealed water coolant radiator &separateairpurging facility can be provided. The copper watercoolantradiatoris mounted internal to the air cooled chamber.Coolantinlet andoutlet fittings are provided in the rear of thecastaluminumhousing. An air inlet is fitted in the front nozzle ofthehousingand air is vented out the front of the nozzle in frontofthelens.
Forsevere environments an additional air purge nozzle canbefittedonto the front of the MD85100 housing. The air purgenozzleisconstructed of steel with zinc cadmium, coating andovenbakedblack paint for long life. This air purge nozzle is usedtofurtherdirect the air purge and increase the pressure toclearsteam andparticulate from the lens. Is construction allowsforeasyattachment to the cast housing with only an Allen wrench.Ithasextra tubing fitting if additional air purge is requiredinsevereenvironments.
