The lens incorporates filtering thatremovesthevisible spectrum to minimize sensitivity to extraneouslight.Forgeneral tracking applications spot lenses are commonlythechoice.For applications where the bar bounces or there is striptobedetected, and for precise detection is essential then the 1°x25°lens should be utilized.

This  Hot Metal Detector  is especiallysuitablewhereambient temperatures are subject to large changes.Instandardhousing format, a large air cooled chamber ventsviadeflector infront of the lens to allow the use ofnon-instrumentair andprovides air purging. Alternatively, anoptional sealed loopwatercoolant radiator accommodates tap pressureand a separate airpurgeinlet may be provided.
